Police and paramedics were called to Burnt Ash Road, Lee, at about 21:45 BST on Saturday.
The boy was taken to a south London hospital with stab injuries where he died, the Met Police said.
A spokesman said three men have been arrested in connection with the incident and are being questioned in custody. The force has appealed for witnesses.
BBC London 94.9 reporter Anna O'Neill said the boy was stabbed close to the supermarket.
In an unrelated incident, a 19-year-old man was stabbed in New Cross Road just after 03:30 BST on Sunday, police said.
The man is in a critical condition in hospital. No-one has been arrested over the attack.
New Cross Road is about three miles away from where the 14-year-old was fatally stabbed.
