FG lifts suspension on Dana airline’s license

Today the 5th of september 2012, the Federal Government lifted the suspension on the operating license of Dana Airlines and Dana Airline can resume commercial flight operations in Nigeria.

Their operating license was temporarily suspended by the Federal Government following a crash on the 3rd of june.

According to source from the office of the Aviation minister, the government took this decision after its satisfaction with the air-worthiness of the airline after a rigorous technical, operational and financial audit of the airline”.

Reports say that the statement added that the government would continue to strengthen its oversight and regulatory functions and ensure that all airlines operating in the country, including Dana, would adhere strictly to safety procedures as required by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Act and all other relevant local and international regulations that ensure and promote sustainable air safety. Well let's hope so!
